CHOICES offers safety and healing for victims of domestic violence and their children.
Program Descriptions
24-hour Domestic Violence Crisis, Information and Referral Line: CHOICES offers a crisis and information line that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Temporary Emergency Shelter: A dedicated staff has ensured the shelter’s operation 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, since 1977. Thousands of families have used this residence as a safe, temporary home during times of crisis.
Counseling: CHOICES offers problem-solving counseling, support, resources, and referrals to those victims and survivors of domestic violence who do not require residential services.
Legal Support & Advocacy: Providing a vital link between the criminal justice system and community services, CHOICES’ Legal Advocates walk individuals through an often over-whelming court system.
Community Advocacy: CHOICES collaborates with numerous local organizations in central Ohio to ensure that individuals have access to programs and services that best meet their needs.
Programs for Special Populations: CHOICES provides educational programs and support groups designed for under-served, at-risk communities, as well as the general public.
Community Education & Training: Education is the first step in the prevention of domestic violence. CHOICES strives to educate the community at large about domestic violence in general and CHOICES’ programs and services specifically.
